after the brake fiasco, i did some googling, and found Mobile Brake Service owned and operated by Tony Palaez. It’s just what it sounds like. well, it sounds like brakes for mobiles, but really it’s brake service that is mobile! he showed up at my workplace within 45 minutes and proceeded to put new pads on my fronts in a matter of a half hour. he had a clever setup in his truckbed allowing him to jack my car, remove my wheel and replace the pads in no time flat. he was super friendly, courteous and, most importantly, convenient! he also accepted my out-of-state check against his usual policy. wow, it wasn’t even green money and he wanted it!

i would highly recommend calling tony at 323.255.8481 the next time you need some brake work but would rather not take your chances with a too-successful-for-their-own-good brake shop like Phil and Tom’s Brake Service.

as for thai food, i guess you’ll have to call one of the other trillion thai places in LA and hope they have need for your money.
